Above and below are pictures of Lucy the day we drove across into Ulster County to hike Overlook Mountain for the day. But once we got to the trailhead we found the trail covered in a thick and unforgiving sheet of ice. Instead we walked down the road. The road was grey and the woods looked around them looked as if their vibrance had been weakened by the cold and snowless winter. they were naked and beautiful. The road headed continued west into a valley. The road was like a giant trail, but with houses and fences. All the roads ended eventually in somebodys driveway.
